JUDA - In a game that was tied both at halftime and at the end of three quarters, the Barneveld Eagles got the best of the Juda Panthers with a 20-10 advantage in the fourth quarter to claim a 51-41 victory in the Six Rivers East Conference opener for both teams Tuesday.

"It was our turnovers and they got the momentum," said Juda head coach Curtis Brown of the decisive fourth quarter. "They made their free throws when we had to foul and we let it slip away in the end."

Junior Ellen Kiser led Juda with 14 points. Senior Alycia Grenzow scored eight points and junior C.J. Dunwiddie added six points for the Panthers. Juda (4-2, 0-1 Six Rivers East) will travel to Argyle Friday.

MONTICELLO - The Monticello Ponies are happy about their first win of the season and the Argyle Orioles are still searching for their first victory. The Ponies defeated the Orioles Tuesday night to open Six Rivers East Conference play.

The Ponies allowed Argyle to score just three points in the fourth quarter to turn back any hopes of an Oriole comeback.

"Our press worked pretty well. Our hustle won our ball game tonight," said Monticello head coach Tom Eveland.
