MONROE - The deadline for the 43rd annual city doubles tournament is Friday.
Registration is ongoing for the doubles tennis tournament coming up on July 19-20.
The doubles tournament is sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department and is open to anyone.
Each team entering is guaranteed two matches. The four brackets include: Class A Men's, the championship bracket; Class B Men's for the intermediate players; Women's Open for all females 14 years of age and older; and a 14-and-younger bracket for the youth.
The fee is $20 per team for high school age and older and $10 for the 14-and-younger bracket. The Women's Open and the 14-and-younger brackets will start at 8 a.m. Saturday , July 19th, at Recreation Park. Men's Class A and B will start at 12:15 p.m. at Recreation Park. The tournament will conclude Sunday afternoon.
