Darlington scores win; NG loses

FENNIMORE - The Darlington baseball team rallied to beat Fennimore 8-3 Friday.

The Redbirds (12-8, 8-6) scored three runs in the fourth inning to tie the game. Darlington broke the game open with a five-run sixth.

The Redbirds pounded out 10 hits and had four players with multi-hit games. Darlington senior Matt Keister went 3-for-4 and senior Jason Boll was 3-for-4. Junior Wade Black and Tyler Hardyman each were 2-for-4.

Wisconsin Heights 14, New Glarus 3

NEW GLARUS - Wisconsin Heights was too much for the Glarner Knights in a Capitol South Conference game.

Wisconsin Heights (13-6, 10-5) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first. The Knights (7-13, 6-9) answered with two runs in the bottom of the first.

The Vanguards had a nine-run second to take an insurmountable 13-2 lead.

New Glarus senior Ryan Bright was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Senior Nick Stuessy pitched three innings and gave up eight earned runs on eight hits. He struck out seven and walked two.
