MONROE - The Cheesemakers' volleyball team had several players honored after a season that saw Monroe reach the regional finals for the first time in several years.
Senior Jamie Armstrong led the way, being named to the Badger South first-team all-conference list as well as the second-team all-state list.
"(Jamie) is still in the running to make the 2009 Under Armour High School All-America team," head coach Dave Gersbach said. Armstrong will play next season at George Washington University.
Seniors Jessica Wyssbrod and Chelsea Wyss were named Badger South honorable mention.
For awards given out by the Cheesemakers, the top offensive player awards went to Wyss and Armstrong. Abby Kennison and Wyss were given the top defensive awards and Abby Jacobson and Wyssbrod were given the most improved honors. Jaclyn Ditter was given the coaches award.
