SOUTH WAYNE - The accolades keep rolling in for two Black Hawk football players.
The Associated Press released its all-state team Tuesday and Black Hawk seniors Tanner Sweeney (running back) and Seth Butler (safety) were named honorable mention all-state. Sweeney and Butler helped lead Black Hawk to a perfect season (14-0) and a WIAA Division 7 state championship. It marks the school's first gold ball.
Sweeney rushed for a school record 2,078 yards and scored 29 TDs in leading one of the state's highest scoring offenses (47.1 points per game). He averaged 148 yards per game and 11 yards per carry.
Butler led the Warriors' defense with 105 tackles and had seven interceptions.
