EAST TROY - Both the Brodhead-Juda boys and girls track team ran to fifth-place finishes in the Rock Valley Conference meet Saturday.
The East Troy boys won the conference title, outdistancing Whitewater 142..5-120. Brodhead-Juda racked up 53 points. In the girls' meet, East Troy edged Jefferson for the Rock Valley South title 114-113.5. McFarland took third place (110) and Brodhead-Juda (54) was fifth.
Brodhead-Juda senior Logan Maurer was a conference champion in the shot put with a throw of 54 feet, 2 inches and took third in the discus (155-9).
Brodhead-Juda senior C.J. Hack finished second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 3.50 seconds.
The Cardinals took third place in the 3,200 relay (8:23.41) and finished third in the 1,600 relay (3:37.98).
Brodhead-Juda junior Taylor Bluemel finished second place in the 3,200 (11:46.23). Junior teammate Ann Beyer took third place in the shot put (33-1).
Brodhead-Juda freshman Cora Purdue took third place in the 800 (2;24.73) and freshman Madee Harding was third in the 400 (1:01.71).
The Cardinals took second in the 3,200 relay (9:56.39), which was about three seconds behind champion Jefferson.
