The accolades keep rolling in for the New Glarus-Monticello football team.
New Glarus-Monticello senior Ryan Bright was named the Capitol South Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Bright racked up 1,110 total yards (423 rushing yards and 687 passing yards) with 13 touchdowns.
Bright was a first team all-conference selection as a quarterback, defensive back and punter. He also led the Glarner Knights to a three-way conference championship with Marshall and Waterloo.
Five other Knights received first team all-conference recognition including wide receiver Cameron Jeglum, who was Bright's top target with 26 catches for 455 yards and six touchdowns.
New Glarus-Monticello junior Dallas Boley was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year along with Marshall's Austin Kuhl. Boley was a first team all-conference defensive lineman. Fellow senior Sam Broughton was named a first team all-conference defensive end.
Matt O'Connor was named a first team all-conference linebacker and second team as an offensive lineman. Ben Burke was tabbed a first team all-conference offensive lineman.
Belleville-Albany junior Donovan Woods was named first team all-conference defensive back and Jared Woods was a first team all-conference linebacker. Belleville-Albany senior running back Nick Davis also received first team all-conference accolades.
Senior tight end Tommy Stadelman was first team all-conference and second team all-conference as a linebacker. Andrew Vetter was a first team all-conference offensive lineman for the Wildcats.
New Glarus-Monticello had three other players named second team all-conference including running back Tyler Dorn, defensive back Corey McGowan and defensive lineman Troy Berg.
The Wildcats had three other players also receive second team all-conference recognition including wide receiver Mike Nolden, offensive lineman Bryce Hulbert and defensive lineman Cory Brown.
