Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Anthony W. Bance, 22, Monroe, struck a tree head-on while riding an all-terrain vehicle Saturday at a private residence on Tin Can Road in Albany. He was riding downhill when he encountered uneven terrain, causing him to lose control. When his ATV hit the tree, he was ejected over the handlebars. He sustained injuries and eventually received medical treatment on Monday. He was not wearing a helmet or eye protection.

On Sunday:

• Cheyenne M. Ambler, 18, Monroe, was driving north at 11:49 p.m. in the N1300 block of Wis. 69 in Clarno when she hit a raccoon. She was not injured. Her vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.

• Flora Rose Wenger, 18, Brodhead, was injured but declined medical treatment at 10:13 a.m. after a deer collided with her vehicle on Wis. 11 west of Brodhead-Airport Road in the Town of Decatur. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Her passengers reported no injuries and were also not wearing seatbelts. The car was moderately damaged and towed.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday:

• An Amish buggy overturned on County F in Blanchard Township at 11:10 a.m. The Blanchardville Fire Department and Blanchardville Ambulance assisted a deputy in responding to the accident.

• Patrick G. Sakolari, 50, Elgin, Ill., and a juvenile sustained minor injuries after their all-terrain vehicle flipped on the Cheese Country Trail at 5:40 p.m. Sakolari drove them to Monroe Clinic Hospital.

On Saturday:

• Harley Douglas, 20, Darlington, reported striking a deer on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington at 6:01 a.m.

• Julie Marcure, 39, Stockton, Ill., and her passenger Andrew Fuchs, 26, Lena, Ill., sustained minor injuries in an ATV accident reported at 12:55 p.m. on the Cheese Country Trail in the Town of Gratiot. Marcure was westbound on the trail when she went over a sharp knoll and lost control, causing the ATV to roll. She and Fuchs were taken by Rural Medical Ambulance to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Gratiot First Response and the Gratiot Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• Paula Luhman, 46, Cross Plains, reported striking a deer on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont at 10:27 p.m. The Platteville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
