Monroe Police MONROE - A 14-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy, both of Monroe, were referred to Green County Human Services for habitual truancy at Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St., at 9:56 a.m. Wednesday, May 30.• Police took a report at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, that a person in the 2600 block of 2nd Avenue fell victim to a cellphone banking scam that is sweeping Green and Rock counties. An investigation revealed that this automated call, which asks for a person's personal banking or Social Security numbers, originated in Romania. Law enforcement agencies in the area are warning residents not to give out any personal information to a company unless they initiate the contact.• Skateboarders were warned to keep off school property at 8:02 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Monroe Middle School, 1510 13th St.• The theft of a bicycle from a garage in the 2300 block of 13th Avenue was reported at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday, May 30.
