Motorcycle crash injures rider, passenger

MONROE - A 47-year-old Browntown man was cited for driving under the influence, fourth offense, after he and his 22-year-old passenger were injured in a motorcycle crash early Sunday morning.According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, deputies were dispatched just after midnight to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room to investigate a one-vehicle crash with injuries that occurred earlier on County M at Smock Valley Rd., in the Town of Jordan. Their investigation reportedly revealed that the operator of the motorcycle, Dan E. Downs, was traveling south on County M when he lost control while negotiating a curve. The motorcycle entered a ditch and overturned on its side.
