Man sentenced for fleeing, dealing cocaine

MONROE - A Rockford man convicted of fleeing from Monroe police and dealing cocaine here last November was sentenced to prison Tuesday, March 26. Kareem Anderson Stewart, 31, pleaded no contest to the felony charges in Green County Circuit Court before Judge Thomas Vale and was given three years in prison and five years of extended supervision. According to court records: Police tried to make a traffic stop on Stewart while assisting with an undercover drug investigation Nov. 29.
