BRODHEAD - George A. Nickels, age 79, of Brodhead, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011, at his home. He was born on February 7, 1932 in Aurora, IL, the son of Leonard and Madeline (Harker) Nickels. George had farmed north of Monroe and also worked for Advance Transformer of Monroe for over 25 years.
