GREEN COUNTYFELONIES• The court Thursday scheduled a Dec. 30 district attorney conference for Nolan S. Vancourt, 23, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to two counts of strangulation and suffocation, two counts of battery and one count of disorderly conduct.Court records allege he argued with a woman, tore up her money and choked her Oct. 1 at a Monroe residence.He is charged with two counts of strangulation and suffocation, both class H felonies; two counts of battery, both class A misdemeanors; and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $41,000 in fines, if convicted.He remains free on a $4,800 signature bond and a $200 cash bond.In a second case, the court scheduled a Dec. 30 district attorney conference for Vancourt after he pleaded not guilty to two counts of bail jumping, criminal damage to property and two counts of disorderly conduct.Court records allege he had contact with the victim in the previous case, drank alcohol, broke her phone and pushed her to the ground.He is charged with two counts of bail jumping, both class H felonies; criminal damage to property and intimidation of a victim, both class A misdemeanors; and two counts of disorderly conduct, both class B misdemeanors. He faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $42,000 in fines, if convicted.He remains free on an $800 cash bond.• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Jan. 20 district attorney conference for Joseph A. Lartz, 18, Monroe, who stood mute to charges of physical abuse of a child, battery and bail jumping.Court records allege he grabbed a teen male by the neck and head-butted him, causing broken bones, Nov. 6 or Nov. 7 in Monroe.
