Green CounyMisdemeanors• The court Oct. 31 scheduled a Nov. 18 district attorney conference for Gerald M. Erpelding, 48, Belleville, who pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and attempted battery.Court records allege he threatened a person's cat, tried to stab a person with a fork and threw a fork at a person before trying to stab the person with scissors. He was convicted of bail jumping in 2007.He is charged with attempted battery, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct by use of a dangerous weapon, a class B misdemeanor, as a repeat offender. He faces more than four years in jail and up to $6,000 in fines, if convicted.He remains free on a $1,500 signature bond.
