Green County Felonies • Austyn Richard Althaus, 18, Monroe, was released on a $2,000 signature bond Monday in Green County Circuit Court in a case involving felony charges of theft and arson filed May 5. As part of the court order, Althaus is to have no contact with John M., McCormick Quarry, Behr Salvage or N400 County J, Monroe. Althaus is charged with a Class G felony theft of movable property valued at more than $10,000, which carries a punishment of up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $25,000 or both, and a Class I felony arson of property other than a building, which carries a punishment of up to 42 months in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.
