GREEN COUNTY FELONIES- Christopher Joseph Martinez, 30, Monroe, was sentenced Friday, July 13, to two years of probation on Class H felony charges of strangulation and false imprisonment and misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and battery. Court records indicate Martinez was physically violent and abusive toward a pregnant woman in February in a car he drove in Monroe and around Green County highways and in March in the N3400 block of Aebly Road. Conditions of his probation include paying $636 to the court, undergoing any recommended counseling, having no contact with the victim or her child and not drinking.- A jury trial was set Monday, July 16, for Carlos Aguirre Rivera, 39, Monroe, on 13 felony and misdemeanor charges that he violated domestic abuse injunctions and jumped bail in 2009.
