Green CountyFelonies• The court Friday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Jan. 29 plea hearing for Gerald J. Wright, 20, Monroe, who is charged with battery to a prisoner, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct.Court records allege that while jailed he pushed another inmate against the bars and to the floor and struggled with deputies when they tried to put him in a different cell Dec. 20 at the Green County jail. He was convicted of bail jumping, theft and battery in 2008.He is charged with battery to a prisoner, a class H felony, obstructing an officer, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, all as a repeat offender. He faces more than 12 years in prison and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.He remains jailed on an $1,800 signature bond and a $200 cash bond.
