GREEN COUNTYFelonies- The court Thursday set a Jan. 18 district attorney conference for Dwayne P. Helmer, 40, Albany, who pleaded not guilty to charges related to a domestic disturbance and waved a preliminary hearing.Court records allege Helmer, on or about Dec. 25 and 26, 2010, made 21 telephone calls to a Monticello woman to harass and threaten her; used violence toward a woman in Albany while carrying a concealed knife and threw clothing and Christmas presents outside and then set fire to them; and repeatedly tried to stab a man in the Village of Albany. During the above incidents, Helmer was in violation of the terms of a $4,000 signature bond from Sept. 27, 2010, in Green County Circuit Court where he was charged with a felony crime of physical abuse to a child. He is charged with unlawful use of a telephone to threaten to do harm and disorderly conduct, both class B misdemeanors; carrying a concealed weapon, a class A misdemeanor; second degree reckless endangerment with the use of a dangerous weapon, a class F felony; and bail jumping, a class H felony.
