Green County FeloniesThe court Jan. 20 sentenced Mandy L. Fields, 33, Brodhead, to 24 months probation after she pled no contest to issuing a worthless check, a class A misdemeanor.The court deferred prosecution for 24 months on one count of forgery, a class F felony, on the conditions Fields undergo mental health treatment and not possess, purchase or own any equine animals during probation.The court dismissed one count of intentional failure to provide food for an animal, a class A misdemeanor, and mistreatment of animals resulting in death, a class I felony. Court records indicate Fields, on or about June 3, 201, in the Town of Spring Grove, forged a check for $545 and issued the check in payment for hauling three horses to her property. She faced more than 6 years in prison and up to $11,000 in fines.In another case, the court sentenced Fields to 24 months probation, to run concurrently with the above sentence, after she pled no contest to theft by false representation, a class A misdemeanor.
