Green County Felonies• The court Thursday sentenced Aaron L. Frayer, 42, Brodhead, to two years probation after he pleaded no contest to substantial battery.He faced more than three years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class I felony.The court dismissed charges of false imprisonment, a class H felony; battery, resisting an officer, trespassing and entry to a locked building, all class A misdemeanors; and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He originally faced more than 12 years in prison and up to $61,000 in fines.Court records indicate he hit a woman three times, causing a concussion, Jan. 12 in Brodhead.• The court Thursday scheduled a March 23 district attorney conference for Timothy S. Walls, 29, Albany, who pleaded not guilty to burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.Court records indicate he entered a storage shed and took three chainsaws Dec. 6 in Monticello. He concealed a chainsaw in his residence.He is charged with burglary, a class F felony, theft and receiving stolen property, both class A misdemeanors.
