Green County Felonies• The court Monday scheduled a May 23 sentencing hearing for Ericka L. Ruiz, 20, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to three counts of theft and one count of credit card fraud.She faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $40,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the two class H felonies and two class A misdemeanors.The court dismissed seven counts of identity theft, nine counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and two counts of theft by acquisition of a credit card, all class A misdemeanors.She originally faced more than 63 years in prison and more than $220,000 in fines.Court records indicate she took a wallet from a woman at ShopKo and purchased things at Kwik Trip and Wal-Mart in October and November.In a second case, she is scheduled to be sentenced May 23 after she pleaded no contest Monday to forgery.She faces up to six years and $10,000 in fines as part of the agreement for the class H felony.The court dismissed two counts of forgery and one count of theft, all class A misdemeanors. She originally faced more than 18 years in prison and up to $40,000 in fines.Court records indicate she cashed a check from another person's account Nov. 20 at First Community Credit Union.In a third case, she is scheduled to be sentenced May 23 after she pleaded no contest to forgery.She faces up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, as part of the plea agreement for the class H felony.The court dismissed one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class A misdemeanor. She originally faced more than six years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines.Court records indicate that she wrote a check from another person's account between Nov. 21 and Nov. 28.She remains free on a $10,000 signature bond.Misdemeanors• The court Monday scheduled a May 6 district attorney conference for Jeremy A. Cruse, 21, Cuba City, who pleaded not guilty to three counts of telephone harassment.Court records indicate he called a woman three times and talked about threatening her and also mentioned lewd subjects.He is charged with three counts of telephone harassment, all class B misdemeanors.
