Alyce H. Cleeremans
Alyce H. Cleeremans, age 102, of Monroe, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on August 25, 1915 in Canby, MN; the daughter of Paul and Sidsel (Nielsen) Danniger.

Alyce and Clarence F. Cleeremans were united in marriage on August 16, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN.

Alyce worked at Guaranty bank, Armstrong Department Store, Collins Manufacturing all in Cedar Rapids, IA; and later was a School Librarian at Litchfield, MN.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe; enjoyed knitting, bridge, reading and loved spending time with friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Daryl) Murken of New Glarus, grandchildren, Robert (Linda) Polansky of Waterloo, IL, James (Elizabeth) Polanzke of York PA, Alison Sammartano of Lemont, IL, Eric (Kathryn) Murken of Chicago, and Heidi (Brian) Borkenhagen of Grafton, WI; 7 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah (Drew), Rebecca, Mirella, Matteo, Bennett, Anna and 1 great-great granddaughter, Adalynn

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Ruth Polansky, and sister, Della Danninger.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Memorials may be given in Alyce's name to Grace Lutheran Church.
