17-year-old burglary suspect in court

MONROE - A Monroe teen charged in connection with several Monroe commercial and residential burglaries stood mute during an appearance in Green County Circuit Court Wednesday before Judge Thomas Vale.Justin Buelteman, 17, is charged with five counts of burglary, each a class F felony; one count of burglary, arming himself with a dangerous weapon, a class E felony; and two counts of theft and one count of criminal damage to property, each a class A misdemeanor.He faces more than 75 years in prison and up to $205,000 in fines, if convicted.He remains free on a $6,000 signature bond. A district attorney conference was scheduled for Dec. 7.Court records allege Buelteman entered a residence on Mansion Drive in Monroe Aug. 19 or 20; and then again Aug. 21. While at the residence he took some swords and a knife.He allegedly entered Parkside Salon, the Dilly Bean and the concession stand at the Monroe High School Oct. 24.
