JUDA - Tyler Scott Hanson, age 37, was born on Aug. 23, 1986, in Monroe, Wis., and took his last breath on Monday, June 3, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous fight with cancer.

Tyler graduated from Monroe High School in 2004. In 2009, Tyler went to Blackhawk Technical College and received a certificate as an EMT. Tyler had an impressive resume, but he was proud of where he ended his career, working at M&D Truck Equipment. He admired Mike and Dan Lambert and thought of them as his brothers.

When Tyler wasn't working, he was having fun with family and friends. You'd find him at cookouts, playing euchre, going on RZR rides, cheering on the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers, going on fishing trips, hanging out at Karl's pond, or going on various hunting adventures out west. He lived life to the fullest and never took a second for granted.

Tyler met and fell in love with Cortney Bertelrud in 2011. They had three daughters, all of whom brought joy to his life. Tyler loved being with them and enjoyed listening to their silly stories, teaching them how to play chess, coloring, and watching the girls ride their four-wheelers he got them.

Tyler was someone who kept raising the bar for himself. When there were challenges, he always found the solutions. Life tried to slow him down four years ago, but he didn't let it. Tyler will be remembered as someone who was determined, kind, loving, and compassionate. He was the rock that kept his family grounded and he will be deeply missed.

Tyler is survived by his wife, Cortney Bertelrud: their daughters, Brynliegh and Emberliegh Hanson; his parents, Tim and Tami Hanson, Randy and Teri Johnson, and Wendy Treuthardt; siblings, Cortney (Derek) Gilbertson, Dannielle (Josh) Grigsby, Ashley (Kevin) Lancaster, Cory Thornton and Nick (Emma Ogden) Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; grandparents, Duane and Jane Hanson, Jo Treuthardt, Howard (Faye) Kammerud, Eleanor Martin and Robert and Pat Johnson; many aunts and uncles; and his favorite hairy doods, Wiley Fritz and Waylon Cash. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charliegh Marie Hanson; grandpa, Fritz Treuthardt; grandma, Joy Hanson; great grandma, Cora Stine; father-in-law, Dean Bertelrud; and friends, Dan Lambert and CJ Segner.

A funeral service will be held at YORK MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, N9407 WI Highway 78, Blanchardville, at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2024, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.

The family would like to thank the UW Neuro staff who cared for Tyler, along with Agrace HospiceCare. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
