Timothy Joseph Petit, age 62, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his home.  He was born March 7, 1960 the son of Amos and Amy (Barker) Petit in Freeport, IL.  He attended Freeport High School.  On June 26, 2004 Tim married Teresa Stark; she preceded him in death in 2006. Tim started out working in cheese factories until he went to work at Pick-N-Save for 25 years.  He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR.  Also, he enjoyed reading, and was an avid bowler.    Tim is survived by his daughter, April (Chris) Caldwell of Monroe; brother Mark Petit of Freeport; and sisters, Debbie (Steve) Monigold of Freeport and Barb (Mike) Moran of Dubuque, IA.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Teresa; son, Joe Petit; and brother, Lynn. A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at a later date.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
