Robert Allen Golackson passed away on January 22, 2024, at SSM Health Hospice Home at the age of 72.  He was born July 27, 1951, to Robert and Irma Golackson in Monroe, being the oldest of seven children.  He graduated from Monroe High School and then went on to marry and had one child, Jeremy D. Golackson.  Bob was a member of the Army National Guard in which he served for seven years.  Bob worked for Moore Business Forms for nine years and after leaving Moore Business Forms he moved to Baraboo, Wisconsin working for Perry Printing and eventually R. R. Donnelly. 

Bob enjoyed golfing, attending Brewer games and traveling to many Badger Games with the Ludlow Bar.  He spent many weekends in Castle Rock at his home by the lake surrounded by friends playing a good game of euchre.  He will be missed by all who knew him as “Goldy”

Bob is survived by his siblings Richard (Debbie) Golackson, Ron Golackson, Randy Golackson, Rod Golackson, and Rita Benkert; 2 grandchildren, Taylor Golackson and Grace Raupp-Golackson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Rusty Golackson and his son, Jeremy. 

A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 1:00-4:00 PM in the Rathskellar (downstairs) at Turner Hall in Monroe.  Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
