Neal Hunter, Jr., age 69 of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1953 the son of Neal Sr and Betty (Wilk) Hunter. He graduated from Savanna High School in 1972. Neal married Rhonda Vlasak on April 21, 1984.
Neal worked at Monroe Truck Equipment as a welder for 27 years, retiring in 2015. He was proud of the work he did and enjoyed spending time with his co-workers even after retirement. He was an avid golfer, loved his cars, and was a dedicated Badger and Packer fan. He was an active member of the Monroe community and enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family.
Neal is survived by his mother, Betty Hunter; sons, Travis Hunter (family) and Jeremy (Morgan) Hunter; grandchildren, Rhonna and Eddison Hunter; siblings, Barbara Pierson, Richard (Donna) Hunter, Christine (David) Ryan; mother-in-law, Arlene Vlasak; sisters-in-law, Kathy Hunter, Laurel (Dennis) Schliem; brother-in-law, Gary (Bonnie) Vlasak; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neal Sr.; and wife, Rhonda; father-in-law, Kenneth Vlasak; brother, Russell Hunter, and brother-in-law, Dennis Pierson.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Moe officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
