Naomi I. (Chapman) Jenson

Naomi I. (Chapman) Jenson passed away Monday, April 4th, 2022 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born December 18, 1934 at a maternity home on the outskirts of Darlington, WI. Naomi is the daughter of Charles and Emma (Field) Chapman. Naomi graduated from Darlington High School in 1952. In school, Naomi enjoyed chorus, band, and home economics. After high school, Naomi cleaned houses and did the bookkeeping for the Lafayette County Co-op.

Naomi married Lewis G. Jenson at Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, WI on November 1, 1952. They lived in the Darlington area for a number of years. In 1957, they moved to South Wayne, and later to Argyle in 1962. In 1965, the Jenson family moved to Seymour Township, where Naomi and her family have farmed ever since.

Naomi is survived by her children: Debbie (Dave) Cowell of Union, IL; Gary (Eunice) Jenson of South Wayne, WI; Dean (Christa) Jenson of Gratiot, WI; Connie Richards of Darlington, WI; Sandy Mosley of Darlington, WI; Linda Jenson of Monroe, WI; Mark (Pam) Jenson of Darlington, WI; Becky (Bruce) Schneider of Monroe, WI; Tim (Michele) Jenson of Elkhorn, WI; Rick (Jodi) Jenson of Darlington, WI; Randy (Joan) Jenson of South Wayne, WI; Dan (Bobby) Jenson of Juda, WI; Pam (Jim) Scheider of Argyle, WI; Kirk (Barb) Jenson of Mineral Point, WI; Bart Jenson of Monroe, WI; Jeff (Jenny) Jenson of Evansville, WI; Jason (Kelly) Jenson of Albany, WI; Heath Jenson of Shullsburg, WI; Robert (Andrea) Jenson of Argyle, WI; Robin (Alesia) Jenson of South Wayne, WI; and Greg (Janet) Jenson of Darlington, WI. Naomi is also survived by her brothers, Charles (Linda) Chapman of Darlington, WI; Leonard Chapman of Belmont, WI; 35 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, her parents, one daughter, Lorrie Jenson, her sister, Donna Moorlag, one great-granddaughter, Maddison Haug, and many angel babies.

Naomi enjoyed crochet, embroidery, quilting, refinishing wood furniture, fishing, and had a love for farming. She also enjoyed trees, birds, flowers, and gardening. Naomi was the most devoted farm wife and mother. She gave the best hugs. Naomi loved and was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family and friends. 

A funeral service for Naomi I. Jenson will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wiota Lutheran Church (6682 State Road 78, South Wayne, WI 53587) with Rev. Myron Crawford officiating. Burial will be held at Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Wiota Lutheran Church.
