Milford L. Paulson, age 94 of Monroe, WI formerly of Argyle, WI passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Aster Assisted Living in Monroe, WI. He was born April 23, 1928, in rural Blanchardville, WI, the son of LeRoy and Mae (Scott) Paulson. Milford graduated from Blanchardville High School in 1945. In 1946, he began farming in Blanchardville Township. Milford was united in marriage to Kathryn Yaeger on January 14, 1950 at Yellowstone Lutheran Church. In 1954, he began farming in Argyle Township where he remained until retiring into Argyle in 1975.
Milford is survived by three children: Rodney (Nancy) Paulson of Rockford, IL, Dennis (Sharon) Paulson of rural Argyle, and Roxanne (Mark) Wesner of Madison, WI; six grandchildren: LeRoy Paulson, and Ella (Jeremiah) Kuelling, Heather Sowinski, and Krista (Elliot) Zettle, Nathaniel (Karen Stienmann), and Justin (Brooke) Paulson; five great-grandchildren: Breanne (Shane Stelma) Henderson, Brinley Kuelling, Kayla Paulson, Cameron Sowinski and Dexter Paulson; one sister: Marian Ellis of McFarland, WI; and one sister-in-law: Rita Paulson of rural Blanchardville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Kathryn on March 15, 2007; two brothers: Claire and Roslyn Paulson; and one brother-in-law Rollie Ellis.
Milford was a member of Yellowstone Lutheran Church, served on its church council, and on the cemetery committee for many years. He was also a Vinger-Andrews Rural School Board Member and served on the Argyle Village Board. Milford enjoyed traveling, collecting tractors, and spending time with his family at his lake home on Lake Wisconsin. He cherished the time he spent with his family creating memories they will all remember forever.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Yellowstone Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel L. Bohlman officiating. Burial will be in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday May 31, 2022, from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Erickson Funeral Home (801 Milwaukee Street, Argyle). The Erickson Funeral Home in Argyle is serving the family.
