Freeport — Lois Jean Rosheisen, 91 of Freeport passed away at FHN Memorial Hospital on March 17, 2022.  She was born on May 27, 1930 in Monroe, WI to the late Theodore and Grace (Lahr) Miller of Juda, WI.  She grew up on a farm outside of Juda and attended Juda Schools graduating from Juda High School in 1948.

She lived in rural areas around Winslow, IL.  She was employed at Parriot’s grocery store in Winslow.  She moved to Freeport, Il in 1977 and worked at Lee’s Super Market and then Economy Insurance retiring from there in 1999.

After her retirement she served as a volunteer at the Stephenson County Resource Center. She was a long time member of Faith United Methodist Church and was very involved in the activities there serving with the United Methodist Women in many capacities.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dwain (Ginny Gajewski — fiancé) of Montgomery, IL; and Gary (Linda Morrissey) Rosheisen of Grapevine, TX; three daughters, Diane (Brian) Lund of Darlington, WI; Peggy (Roger) Thiele of Beloit, WI; and Cheryl (Eugene) Olmstead of Freeport; and half- brother Richard (Sheryl) Miller of Janesville, WI.

Her legacy also includes 11 grandchildren — Jennifer (Ryan) Hanson of Beloit, WI; Scott (Bree) Thiele of Beloit, WI; Nick Rosheisen of Grapevine, TX; Cary (Sunny) Hubner of Geneseo, IL; Kevin Thiele of Beloit, WI; Josh (Jennifer) Rosheisen of Grapevine, TX; Jason (Brittany) Rosheisen of Highland Park, IL; Jessica (Eric) Welsh of Bettendorf, IA; Casey (Rachel Grimm — fiance) Hubner of Bend, OR; Brooke (Tyler) Tisue of Bettendorf, IA and Erika Stampfli of Freeport.  There are 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daughter-in-law, Kathy Rosheisen and one brother Russell Miller.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 25 from 10am -11:30am at Faith United Methodist Church of Freeport with a memorial service beginning at 11:30 am also at Faith United Methodist with Pastor Melissa Meyers officiating.  Her final resting place will be at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
