Linda Lou Chapman, age 78, of Monroe formerly of Darlington, passed away on Wednesday, March 06, 2024 at Monroe Health Services. She was born the daughter of Delmar and Marcella (Hopkins) Hagan on May 17, 1945 in Illinois. She was a graduate of Mt. Horeb High School and later attended the UW-Platteville. Linda was united in marriage to Charles Chapman on March 6, 1965.

Linda worked alongside her husband, Charles on their farm; she also took great pride in caring for her family and her home. She later worked at Piggly Wiggly in the floral department, Land’s End and Argyle Industries. She was a longtime member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Browntown. Linda enjoyed arts and crafts, and researching her family history.

Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles; children, Scott (Rita) Chapman and Suzy Semanco; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Bill and Anna.

Per her wishes, no formal services will be held. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
