Jamie Leone Welsh, age 59, of New Glarus passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home. She was born the daughter of James and Patricia Welsh on April 9, 1964 in Viroqua, WI. She was a graduate of Black Hawk High School and later earned her Associates Degree in Echocardiography. Jamie worked for the UW Hospital and later SSM Health St. Mary’s in Madison for over 20 years. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed her time with her quilting group. She also had a great love for her cats.

Jamie is survived by her sister, Jennifer (Randy) Sigafus; brothers, Jeffrey (Monica) Welsh, Jason (Kharma) Allmon, Alan (Carol) Allmon, and James (Sandra) Paske; her aunt, Dorothy Horner; her uncle, Steven Welsh; and dear friends, Christine and Reginold Reis; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and all her “fur-babies”.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Patricia and Dwight Allmon; her father, James Welsh; and aunts, Beverly Welsh in infancy and Sharon Evans.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will follow service in Union Cemetery.
