Gregory “Greg” A. Trumpy, age 66, of Juda passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at the UW Hospital in Madison. On January 22, 1955, he was born to LeRoy F. Trumpy, Orangeville, IL and Redona M. Stenstrup, Portage, WI.
He grew up on the family farm near Rock Grove, IL. A hard-worker, Greg farmed for many years with his dad and brothers before he started his own trucking company, Greg Trumpy Trucking.
He was married to Lora Hafen of Juda, WI., after their divorce, Greg Married Bonnie Ruter in 1984; together they had a daughter Jessica Rae born June 29, 1985.
Greg loved spending time and visiting with friends and family, being outside fishing and hunting, and his trips to Alaska. He also enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, and trips to Sturgis. He had a heart bigger than him and would help others whenever he could.
He is survived by his former wife and friend, Bonnie Ruter, Orangeville, IL; step-son, Josh (Alison) Phillips, Monroe; two granddaughters whom he adored, Lilyana and Kaytlyn Blakely of Orangeville, IL. He is further survived by brothers, Gordon “Butch” (Donna) Trumpy, Brodhead, Gene (Katie) Trumpy, Albany; sister, Marj Trumpy, Rockford, and mother, Redona Stenstrup, Portage. He has many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that he also adored.
He was predeceased by his father and step-mother, LeRoy and Norma Trumpy, brother, Gerald “Charlie” Trumpy, daughter, Jessica Rae Trumpy; grandson, Peirson Blakely; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home. A private family service will be held, burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shriner111.com.
