Gloria L. Treuthardt, age 92 passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Heartsong Assisted Living in Belleville. She was born on November 18, 1930 in the Town of Moscow, Iowa County, the daughter of Milton and Gladys (Venden) Erickson, Sr. Gloria graduated from Blanchardville High School in 1948 and then Green County Normal. On October 9, 1952 she was united in marriage to Robert Treuthardt, Sr. at the York Memorial Lutheran Church, rural Blanchardville, WI. Robert and Gloria would farm in the Town of Clarno for many years. She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Monroe. Gloria enjoyed polka dancing and listening to music at Turner Hall, she was a loyal fan of the Greg Anderson Band. She loved tending her ever expanding perennial flower gardens, watching birds at her feeders, and playing cards.
Gloria is survived by her children Susan (Mark) Langbehn, Sherri Treuthardt, Robert (Heidi) Treuthardt, Jr., and Paul (Julie) Treuthardt, grandchildren Shawn Langbehn, Christopher (Julia) Langbehn, Jeremy (Ashley) Treuthardt, Emily (James Tierney) Treuthardt, Layne Treuthardt, and Colsyn Treuthardt, great-grandchildren Mark, Ella, & Myles Langbehn and Addilyn, Forrest, & Ellie Treuthardt. She is further survived by her siblings Rae (Earl) Boeshaar, and Frank “Pete” Erickson, Terry (Karen) Erickson, Linda (Bernie) Bernhardt, and Wendy (Raymond) Spellman, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son-in-law Dan Barrett, grand-daughter-in-law Priscilla Langbehn, and siblings Dwayne Erickson, Marica Peterson, Milton Erickson, Jr., Shirley Barth, Jerry Erickson, and Stanley Erickson
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1724 Fourteenth St., Monroe, WI with the Rev. Todd Hackman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, WI.
A visitation will precede the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe.
