Geraldine A. “GG” Berg, age 86, of Monroe, died on Tuesday, September 2, 2020 at her home. She was born on October 7, 1933 in Monroe the daughter of Ole and Mabel (Falk) Berg. Geraldine was a graduate of Monroe High School.

Geraldine and Royal Karlen were married on June 8, 1952 and later divorced.

Geraldine owned and operated Town & Country Styles for over 37 years. She was a stylish, classy lady and loved clothing and held many style shows. She enjoyed making many connections through her business. She also would take clothes to the nursing homes for people to see; and she loved putting outfits together for her customers and when they left, they looked like a million dollars. She was a social member of Monroe Country Club. GG was a people person and loved taking walks.

She is survived by special friend, Bob Affolter; her children: Kay (James “Bullet”) Doyle of Monroe, Gerald “Fuzzy” (Sheila) Karlen of Monroe; grandchildren, Patrick (Katie Sturdevant) Doyle, Tawni (Lee) Kobielak, Brianna (fiancé, Noah Thompson) Karlen; great-grandchildren, Lakeyn and Kashton Doyle and Madelyn Kobielak; brothers, Virgil (Alice) Berg and Keith (Elaine) Berg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private funeral services will be held at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
