Connie L. Stamm, age 63 of Lena, IL, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at her home. She was born on November 14, 1954 to Merle and Lois (Wernicke) Shultz. She married Jeff Stamm on June 1, 1974 at the Lena United Methodist Church. Connie, along with her husband Jeff, owned and operated Stamm Farm Systems Incorporated, which they purchased from Ray Stamm on January 1, 1988. She also worked for Yellow Creek Quilts Designs in Pearl City, IL. She was a member of the Lena United Methodist Church. She was the treasurer of the Lena Community Center, and also a quilter with the ladies of Stagecoach Quilters. Jeff and Connie were members of the 12 High Card club. Connie was known for her amazing cooking, beautiful flower gardens, and uniquely designed quilts. One of Connie’s greatest joys was spending time with her family especially her beloved granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband Jeff of Lena, children; Carrie (Dr. Dan) Jones of Platteville, WI and Blaine (Annie) Stamm of Lena. Grandchildren; Adilynn Jones and Madasyn Stamm. Brother; Bob (Sandy) Shultz and sister-in-law; Cali (Larry) Lelle. Nieces and Nephews; Christy (Mike) Larson, Tony Shultz, Jamie (Josh) Hagenow and Valerie Lelle, and many special friends including her cherished quilting sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father and mother-in-law Ray and Betty Stamm.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday August 20, 2018 at the Lena United Methodist Church in Lena.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM till 7:00 PM on Sunday August 19, 2018 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.
Pastor Keri Rainsberger will officiate.
Interment will be at Lena Burial Park.
A memorial has been established in her name.
