MONROE - A Monroe man was arrested at about 11 a.m. Wednesday following a drug search at his home at 1308 10th Street.

Brian K. Adams, 48, Monroe, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of oxycodone. He was jailed pending court.

Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley said officers from Monroe and Lafayette County and agents from the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) executed the search warrant at the rented, single-family residence on Monroe's west side.

"A quantity of suspected drugs, as well as drug-related materials, were seized during the incident," Kelley said.

No one was injured during the arrest. An adult Doberman dog was subdued and was restrained without injury, Kelley said.

SLANT consists of officers from the Green and Lafayette county sheriffs' departments; the Monroe police department; the Illinois State Police; the Boone County, Ill., sheriff's department; and the Freeport, Rockford, Roscoe and Loves Park, Ill., police departments.
