MONROE - As Americans seek employment and housing in downtown areas, it has become more necessary for these areas to provide entertainment amenities. A webinar, led by Kathleen Braatz, executive director of the Downtown Beloit Association, will focus on ways for downtowns to identify what types of entertainment best suit their inhabitants and how these amenities can be used to differentiate their downtowns from other districts.
This final session of the Revitalizing Wisconsin's Downtowns webinar conference series will be held at noon on Thursday, Nov. 11 in the Green County UW-Extension conference room at the Green County Justice Center, Monroe. Community leaders involved in downtown development are invited to attend this free session.
This webinar is part of the Revitalizing Wisconsin's Downtown Series, offered via live, interactive Web. It is presented by the UW-Extension's Local Government Center in cooperation with the Wisconsin Downtown Action Council and the Wisconsin Main Street Program. The southwest Wisconsin regional site is sponsored by Green County UW-Extension, Monroe Main Street Program and Monroe Chamber of Commerce. This series also qualifies as Certification Maintenance credit for members of the American Planners Association Professional Institute (AICP).
