The School District of Monroe is mandating masks at all schools beginning tomorrow, said Joe Monroe, Director of Pupil Services in an email to parents at 3:20 p.m. today.

In the 9 days since the return from the holiday break, the School District of Monroe has seen a 438% increase in the number of students that have tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, the School District of Monroe will begin implementing the Heightened COVID Response Plan tomorrow, Thursday, January 13, 2022. Masks will be mandatory for all students and staff in attendance across all schools. The District will honor all formal plans for students and/or staff that have an exemption from wearing masks due to disability, medical condition, or religion.
