MONROE - Motorists should expect periodic lane closings along Wisconsin 69 from Monroe to the stateline as resurfacing work on the highway begins next week.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, Sept. 19 from the south side of Monroe to the Wisconsin/Illinois border, according to the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation.
The highway will remain open during construction, with periodic lane closures.
The road project is scheduled to be finished by Nov. 18.
Motorists can use the state's 511 Traveler Information System at www.511wi.gov or by dialing 511 on their phone for the updated information on lane closures, incidents, and road conditions.
