MONROE - A classic fairytale will take the stage later this month as the Monroe Theatre Guild presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."
The tale tells the story of a lonely, young woman brought up as a maid by her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, seeking true love from the prince she hopes someday will come and save her. With a little help from her fairy godmother, and by believing in herself, Cinderella's dreams come true.
Musical numbers include "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible" and "Ten Minutes Ago."
Directed by Katie Doyle and Dave Bristow, "Cinderella" opens at MTG, 910 16th Ave., at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 22.
