MONROE - Monroe Arts Center will present the first concert by the Monroe Youth Junior Choir from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 in Gunderson Stiles Concert Hall at Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th St.
Students auditioned in September to be selected for the Monroe Youth Choirs. Selected students immediately began semester classes. The choir is directed by Cindy Blanc.
The purpose of choirs is to create a community of young musicians dedicated to musical learning and excellence.
The 16 members of the 2013 Fall Junior Choir are: Desiree Allison, Mackenzie Bechtolt, Kaitlyn Elgin, Julianna Erdley, Madelyn Helland, Stephanie Kolden, Lindsay Leuzinger, Anikah Rath, Rebekah Rath, Eliana Riemer, Kalena Reimer, Katalina Smith, Elizabeth Threewitt, Quentin Vestin, Spencer Vestin and Annabelle Wortman.
The free concert is open to the public.
