MONROE — The fourth quarter opened with slight growth in home sales, even as median prices increased at a robust pace, according to the most recent review of the state housing market by the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
Closed sales of existing homes increased 0.7% comparing sales in October 2019 with October 2018, and the median price rose 7.3% to $195,900 over that same period. Comparing the first 10 months of 2019 to that same period last year reveals that home sales were down just 1.5% whereas median prices rose 7.1% to $198,000 over the period.
The median price for Green County has increased 3.3% to $206,500, with home sales decreasing by 28.9%.
Home sales for Lafayette County have increased by 18.2% and the median price increased by 51.3% to $177,000.
