MONROE - The 2011-12 Green County Leaders Class had 16 members graduate from the program Wednesday, May 16 during a banquet in their honor at the New Glarus Hotel Restaurant. This was the tenth class to graduate from the program.
Participants represented businesses, non-profit and government organizations. The program covers various aspects of leadership and development along with information about Green County.
The classes were held throughout the county to allow members to get to know communities in Green County. To further develop their leadership skills, participants created teams to complete a final class project focused on helping the Green County community.
Class projects this year included the Green County Humane Society, Literacy Council Awareness, Sustainability Expo and the Visibility Toolbox for the Homeless.
Members of the class included Adam Compton, circulation marketing analyst for Integrated Marketing Solutions; Melody Dagle, human resources manager for Grede, II LLC; Rich Davis, facility engineer for Monroe Clinic; Ann Goers, retail wireless consultant for U.S. Cellular; Brian Gray, news reporter for WEKZ Big Radio; Louise Jillings, senior purchasing coordinator coach for Monroe Clinic; Grace Kufahl, contact center specialist for Colony Brands, Inc.; Sara Leutenegger, catalog development coordinator for Colony Brands, Inc.; Phyllis Matysik-Henley, human resource manager for Colony Brands, Inc.; Michelle Monson, internet marketing analyst for Colony Brands, Inc.; Peggy Murphy, human resources/office assistant for Schultz's Inter-State Ag, Inc.; Suzanne Shaw, senior financial analyst for Monroe Clinic; Jennifer Stollenwerk, life enrichment supervisor for Pleasant View Nursing Home; Greg Thoemke, financial advisor for Ameriprise Financial; Amy Whitbeck, registered nurse for UW Hospitals and Clinics; and Teresa Withee, finance department secretary for City of Middleton/Brodhead City Council.
