GOP's Lincoln Day Celebration is March 10

MONROE - The Green County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Celebration is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10 at Ludlow Mansion, 1421 Mansion Drive.

State and local Republican candidates will attend the event. Guests will be able to hear brief speeches from the candidates as well as talk to them one-on-one.

Scheduled to attend are Rep. Brett Davis, R-Oregon, and Superior Mayor Dave Ross, who are candidates for lieutenant governor; Chad Lee and Peter Theron, who are candidates for the Second Congressional District; and Dave Westlake and Terrance Walls, who are candidates for the United States Senate.

Gubernatorial candidates Mark Neuman and Scott Walker, or members of their staffs, may also attend.

Green County Republican Party Chairman Gary Luhman said some local candidates might take the opportunity to make announcements of candidacy.

Tickets for the event are $20 at the door. Luhman said he would appreciate advance notice from people who plan to attend.
