MONROE — FBI and the Untouchable Horns will be bringing on the funk for the next Main Street Monroe Concert on the Square at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 21.

FBI means Funk Band Incorporated, so get ready to move and groove with a band that covers some of the most influential artists of our time like Chicago, Huey Lewis, Kool & the Gang, Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars, just to name a few. You’ll hear plenty of funky horn riffs, plus powerhouse vocals from several band members, including Emily, who sings with a Pink Floyd tribute band called Project Pink.

There’s no taking a break at intermission, which starts off with a salute to Main Street’s summer theme “Musical Chairs” and recognition of sponsors and artists. Right after that, members of the University of Wisconsin Band will be channeling all the energy and excitement of the fifth quarter with Echoes of Camp Randall.

Wear your red and white. The John and Katie Baumann Inspiration Project provided funding to offset the costs of concert intermissions.

Be sure to sign up for the “Best Seat in the House” contest with premium seating on custom Adirondack chairs and a prize package including pizza from Suisse Haus, popcorn from Rainbow Confections, drink tickets from the beer stand, plus fun swag from Main Street Monroe, Heartland Graphics and Green County Cheese Days.

Register all summer at Heartland Graphics; winners drawn prior to each show.

Main Street Monroe’s popular summer concert series is underwritten by Colony Brands. Upcoming shows are Reloaded on July 12 (Salute to Monroe Class of 1984, plus “Paws on Parade” with Green County Humane Society at intermission), Water Street Jacks on July 25 (Lighting up the Dark with Jacob’s Swag), Red Hot Horn Dawgs on Aug. 2 (Salute to Monroe Class of 1979), and Fletcher Rockwell on Aug. 16 (with Prince and Princess Night sponsored by Monroe Park and Recreation).

Proceeds from the Beer and Wine Garden will be shared by Main Street Monroe, Green Haven and Green County Child Advocacy Center. Carry-ins not allowed for alcoholic beverages, but you’re invited to bring a to-go dinner from one of the downtown restaurants.
