MONROE - The Green County Health Department will be offering free flu shots for children from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
All children of Green County ages 6 months through 18 years old are eligible.
The clinic will be held at the Green County Health Department, Pleasant View Complex, N3150 Wisconsin 81, Monroe.
The type of vaccine offered will protect against four strains of the flu virus. The vaccine will be given to children by injection with a needle. The shot will not cause the flu, because the viruses used to make it are "inactivated" or killed. This vaccine contains no preservatives.
Adult flu shots will be available for $35. Payment must be with cash or check only.
