MONROE - FHN announced that its weight management retail location in Monroe will close at the end of the business day on Friday, July 27.
This storefront facility was opened in 2008 to offer weight management services that are not intended as a long-term health choice for patients.
"The higher-volume product life cycle of this retail offering appears to have run its course," said Mark Gridley, FHN vice president physician affairs. "It therefore makes sense to close the Monroe facility so that we can focus resources on our core services and clinical offices."
FHN weight management services will continue to be offered as a retail option at other FHN offices in Stockton and Freeport, as well as by Beth Kalnins, M.D., at the Orangeville office. The one FHN employee associated with the Monroe location will be assigned to another FHN office. The FHN Family Healthcare Center in Orangeville is also expanding to include the services of Tanya Guntly, PA-C.
