Early voting in Monroe begins Monday at westside fire station

MONROE - The location for in-person absentee voting (early voting) in Monroe has changed.

The new location is the westside fire station at 601 W. 17th St. The dates and hours will be from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. weekdays beginning Monday and continuing through Nov. 4.

The polling place on election day, Nov. 8, still will be the Monroe Community Center in the basement of City Hall at 1110 18th Ave. Construction work still may be underway, but there will be access for the public to enter the building.

Voters must be registered to vote before requesting an absentee ballot, and they must provide photo ID before being issued a ballot.
