Monroe Police 

MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported at 3:05 p.m. May 3 in the 1700 block of 17th Street. Tierra S. Marty, 31, Monroe, was westbound and collided with a legally parked, unoccupied vehicle. Both vehicles sustained damage. Marty’s vehicle was towed. She was cited for no vehicle insurance.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On May 1, Keontrai G. Hodges, 18, New Glarus, was identified as the driver in a hit-and-run crash reported at 5:39 a.m. April 21 in the 1400 block of 2nd Street in New Glarus. Through an investigation with New Glarus police, deputies determined Hodges was southbound when his vehicle entered the ditch, struck the culvert, went up the embankment and collided with five mailboxes, leaving tire tracks in a yard, then got back on the road and continued southbound. Hodges and his passenger were uninjured. Hodges was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of a motor vehicle crash and failure to keep a vehicle under control.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 9:31 a.m. May 1 in the Town of Brooklyn. Deron J. Johnson, 55, Brooklyn, was southbound on Benson Road and traveling through the intersection with Amidon Road when his vehicle was collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Keith J. Kammerud, 58, New Glarus. The vehicles sustained minor damage. Johnson was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign.

●  Holgeir Oksnevad, 66, Durand, Illinois, reported no injuries from a motorcycle crash at 5:10 p.m. May 2 in the W4200 block of County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. He was westbound when he lost control due to gravel on the roadway. He was wearing protective equipment. The motorcycle sustained minor damage.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Friday, April 24:

●  A motorcycle accident with injuries was reported at 1:04 p.m. April 26 on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton. Benton Fire and First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded. Luke J. Temperley, 36, East Dubuque, Illinois, was eastbound when his 2008 Harley Davidson hit loose gravel, causing him to lose control. Temperley and his passenger, Kelly J. Murphy, 34, Dubuque, Iowa, bailed from the motorcycle prior to it becoming airborne and coming to rest in a creek. They were transported for treatment of injuries. The Harley was severely damaged and towed. A deputy and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 2:34 p.m. April 27 on Palmer Road, Town of Darlington. Jacob P. Sparrgrove, 32, Fennimore, lost control of his 2000 Dodge, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway into a yard. The Dodge sustained moderate damage and was towed. The accident remained under investigation.

On April 29:

●  Rigoberto Garcia-Arcos, 36, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 1:56 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. No injuries were reported. The 2007 Toyota sustained severe damage and was towed.

●  Kristin E. Robbins, 38, Cuba City, reported hitting a deer at 10:24 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Chrysler sustained severe damage and was towed.

●  Dustin R. Strait, 32, Monroe, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident reported at 9:45 p.m. on State Line Road, Town of Wayne. He was westbound when he failed to make a wide-enough turn onto Butts Road with his 1999 Freightliner, causing the attached 2016 trailer to enter the ditch and overturn, spilling the cargo of vegetable oil. The Freightliner and trailer sustained severe damage and were towed. The oil was pumped into another tanker, and the spill did not require hazmat cleanup. Deputies assisted the South Wayne Fire Department and First Response and Green County EMS on scene. Strait did not require transport by ambulance.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 4:51 p.m. May 1 on County E, Town of Darlington. Teri J. Dominick, 27, New Berlin, was northbound on County E when a tire came off her vehicle. The 2001 Hyundai came to rest on the side of the road. It was towed.

On May 2:

●  Joshua S. Singer, 29, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 12:24 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. The 2014 Volkswagen sustained moderate damage and was towed.

●  David C. Anderson, 48, Mineral Point, was transported by Green County EMS of Darlington for non-life threatening injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident reported at 4:53 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington. He was southbound when he lost control on a turn, causing the 2017 Victory motorcycle to go into the ditch. The Darlington Fire Department and a deputy assisted on scene.
